Growth, Development & Goals for Next Term

This term, I have had immense growth in my comfort in navigating the hospital setting. This was my second placement in a hospital setting. Following this semester, I feel I have gained comfort in multiple ways around the hospital, from navigating EPIC to knowing where supplies are to the staff culture, I feel more accustomed to the norms. I feel I developed in providing patient care in compassionate and effective manner. I feel this is demonstrated in the improvement over the term in the time it took me to complete morning vitals and head to toe assessments.

For the next semester, my goals include having head to toe assessments completed at the expected timed intervals from the start of the semester. As well as gaining comfort and familiarity with IV skills. I will work on achieving these goals through repeated practice and seeking out learning opportunities outside of clinical, such as open lab time.
