I can make bagels with three ingredients. First, I mix flour and baking powder. Then I add Greek yogurt. I mix the dough and roll it into a long rope. I cut the rope into pieces and connect the ends. It makes a circle. Sometimes, I brush egg whites or butter on top before I bake them. They are delicious and nutritious!

Whenever I have a lot of leftovers in my fridge, I make a stir fry. I choose vegetables that taste good together, like broccoli and carrots. Then I chop up all the vegetables and meat. I usually start to fry onion and garlic in a little bit of oil. Next, I fry everything together in a frying pan. Sometimes, I add cooked rice or noodles to the mixture. I often serve it with bread. I like spicy food, so I always add hot peppers. It is a quick and easy meal that my whole family enjoys!

When I was a teenager, I enjoyed making a colourful dessert called ‘5-Cup Salad.’ Basically, I took one cup of each ingredient: sour cream, marshmallows, and three different kinds of canned fruit, such as pineapple, oranges, cherries, and peaches, and mixed them together. Sometimes, I added shredded coconut. I always served it cold. It was so refreshing on hot summer days.

Last year, I made this salad for a potluck. Someone at my table said they did not like it because the fruit was not fresh. They did not know I made the dish. I felt bad because they did not like it, but I prefer canned fruits because they are soft and sweet, and they go together well with the marshmallows. Since then, I only make the dessert for my family. Some people call it a different name, but I still call it ‘5-Cup Salad’ because that is what my mother called it.
