ILO Theme: Language

The Indigenous Learning Objective (ILO) theme chosen for this class is “language”.

All of the the readings in this e-text relate to this theme. By completing the readings and activities on this theme topic, you will fulfill the course ILO to analyse the impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities. Of course, this theme covers just one narrow slice of the ILO – in one course it would be impossible to discuss all of the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous people and it is impossible for any discussion to encompass the entirety of any Indigenous community’s experience.

If you wish to explore other themes to expand your learning beyond what is required for this course, you can access relevant materials on the Communications Program Guide on the Library website. You may need to be logged in to the Portal to access these resources.
