Program Modalities and Requirements
For the Winter 2022 semester, classes will be held online, in-person, or through a hybrid model.
Online classes will be synchronous every week. Just like students are expected to come to campus for a traditional, in-person class at a specific time in the week, students will be expected to attend every online class. Students must have access to Zoom, a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and built-in mic, and a smartphone.
Two classes will be using a hybrid model. Students will be given the freedom to choose whether to attend an in-person class on campus, or stay at home and take it online. The classroom on campus will have microphones and cameras to ensure students collaborate in real-time, whether the student is participating through Zoom or in-person.
Your Friday class (CO118) will be in-person, and you will be required to be on-campus.
Delivery During COVID-19
Health and safety are the most important concerns during this pandemic, so that’s why students can choose to take all classes this fall entirely online.
Post-Pandemic Delivery
When it’s deemed safe by the government, the program will immediately return to in-person classes. It may be as early as the Winter 2022 semester.
Important Note
Please note that delivery plans for your program may change due to mandated Ontario Public Health measures. Continue to monitor the COVID-19 Student Information Centre for up-to-date information.
eCentennial
All courses at Centennial have an online learning environment on eCentennial, the College’s learning management system. Through eCentennial you can access course documentation and class assignments, monitor grades, and actively communicate and collaborate with professors and other students. Online courses and online components of hybrid courses will be delivered through eCentennial. You may need to write online tests and submit assignments via eCentennial. Your professor will discuss their use of eCentennial in each of your courses. View this video to learn how to navigate eCentennial and view the eCentennial Help- Video Tutorials.
