Both within the design of this resource and in all of my work, I am committed to provided an accessible and inclusive learning experience for the widest possible audience. Recognizing that accessibility is complex and that individual needs are dynamic, any claim that a resource is fully accessible is unhelpful and can reduce opportunities to make further improvements. However, naming both practices and limitations is an important step for normalizing conversations about access. The accessibility considerations that guided the development of this resource are documented below.

Accessibility features of the web version of this resource

Domains of AI-Awareness for Education has been designed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, level AA and follows the guidelines provided in BCcampus’ Checklist for Accessibility.

• Navigation. This resource has a linked table of contents and uses appropriate heading hierarchies to make navigation easier.
• Images. All images in this resource that convey information have alternative text. Images that are decorative have no alternative text.
• Links. All links use descriptive link text. When links open in a new window or tab, that is indicated in the link text.
• Colours. Images and text do not convey meaning using colour alone. Graphics have been designed with high-contrast colours to improve readability.
• Tables. Tables are used to structure information. Tables include row and column headers.
• Font. Font size is 12 points or higher throughout the text.
• Language. A glossary of terms has been provided. The first time a word in the glossary is introduced in the text, a definition is linked from the word.
